Moviement Magazine, special issue about Amir Naderi

Moviement, a cultural movie magazine in Italy, has just published a special issue about world-renowned Iranian filmmaker Amir Naderi. The editor, Gemma Lanzo, has created an excellent reference about Naderi, with particular attention to his American films.

As the author of Iranian Cinema and other books on film, I had the privilege of contributing two pieces to this terrific issue: an essay on this talented expatriate’s cinema during his Iranian period (1970-1986) and a long interview with the editors of the magazine about production of Manhattan by Numbers, his first American film, which captured hearts and souls at more than twenty film festivals around the world, including Venice, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and many more.
