The Montreal World Film Festival was forced to cancel many of the screenings in its 2016 edition due to the withdrawal of Cineplex Cinema. But the festival programmers made an exception for Razor’s Edge: The Legacy of Iranian Actresses, screening the film at 11 AM on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Outremont Theatre.
The premiere was very well received by the audience, and filmmaker Bahman Maghsoudlou participated in a Q&A afterwards.
Previously Manhattan by Numbers (1993) directed by Amir Naderi, Seven Servants (1996) directed by Daryush Shokof and produced by Bahman Maghsoudlou and Abbas Kiarostami: A Report directed and produced by Bahman Maghsoudlou were shown at Montreal World Film Festival.
