Premier of Razor’s Edge: The Legacy of Iranian Actresses in Los Angeles

Razor’s Edge: The Legacy of Iranian Actresses, a feature documentary by Bahman Maghsoudlou, premiered at the Screen Writer’s Guild of America in Los Angeles on February 19, 2017. The Sponsor and emcee for the night was Homa Sarshar, a prominent Iranian -American journalist/writer. It was the first time that a ticket price for an Iranian documentary film was 50 dollars and the five-hundred-seat theater was sold out. Almost all of today’s eminent Iranian figures and journalists were there. The film received exuberant applause and praise. After the screening, the writer/director/producer of the film, Bahman Maghsoudlou, talked briefly about how the documentary was made and why the tile is Razor’s Edge and answered a few questions, after which Homa Sarshar invited the six (out of a total of 21) Iranian actresses who had participated in the film and were present at the screening to come on to the stage for a Q&A with the audience. It was a great night and Ms. Sarshar did a tremendous job pulling it all together.
