The Iranian Cultural Association of Washington, D.C. sponsored a screening of Iran Darroudi: The Painter of Ethereal Moments on one of its regular Monday meeting nights on April 4 at 8PM. Ms. Pativash Moghadam opened the evening by speaking briefly about Kanoon. Mr. Bahram Zandi, who was responsible for selecting the film, read a short biography of Mr. Bahman Maghsoudlou, the director and producer, and then Maghsoudlou himself gave a few words of introduction, during which he thanked the Association and mentioned that it was his birthday and that he was happy to spend it in such worthy company. The audience, which included such notable figures as Ms. Nazi Azima (writer/translator), Ms. Shohreh Assemi (actress/TV producer), Dr. Mohammad Borghei (writer), Dr. Hadi Bahar, and Mr. Taghi Mokhtar (writer/journalist), responded very enthusiastically to the film during the Q&A that followed.
