Grass: A Nation’s battle for Life (1924) screened at Rosemont College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 5, 2016. Then Dr. Bahman Maghsoudlou lectured about the history, artistic and anthropological values of this unique film in details. His talk was based on his book Grass: Untold Story that has been published by Mazda in 2008 in USA and its Farsi version in 2011 by Hermes in Iran. Both are out of print.
This great historical and anthropological film has been selected the second best silent feature documentary of history of cinema by film historians and critics and has been selected among first four hundred films for the national Film Registry.
